- Data export — When you need to dump all stored records to stdout or pipe them to another tool
- Project initialization — When setting up a new workspace that needs a local data directory structure
- Status checks — When you want to quickly verify the tool is configured and ready to use

appsmith init
# Add a new entry
appsmith add "Deploy v2.3 to production"
# Add another entry
appsmith add "Fixed login bug in auth module"
# List all stored entries
appsmith list
# Search for entries containing "deploy"
appsmith search deploy
# Export all data to a file
appsmith export > backup.txt
# Check current status
appsmith status
# Show version and data path
appsmith info

appsmith export | grep "2025"
Configuration
